All shot with the pentacon 500, at f/22 with a 2x Russian teleconverter. Started at f/22 because it was the only way to retain a semblance of shaprness when using the converter, eventually it was the only way to not overexpose the images. Sometimes even 1/8000th of a second isn't enough!

Shortly after sunrise:

Baby on the Zizkov TV tower watching:

This was taken close to the point of greatest eclipse and also point of my greatest freezing. Held a 3 stop and 2 stop grad ND filter in front of the lens to prevent overexposure:

thanks for looking.

+1 for the first one. That's the kind of pictures I expect to take with my 1000/8 Smile

Great captures, I do like number 2 most. I have weakness for these statues on Zizkov TV tower Cool

Which one are you getting? I've been looking at some 1000s and can't seem to come close to deciding.

Thanks! The tower is pretty much the easiest landmark in Prague to target for these 'lined up' shots as you can see it from everywhere. Very rarely can I get enough focal length to get the baby so big though, was lucky on this occasion.

Nicely taken. Thanks for sharing. Did the eclipse lasted quite long?
