I bought a Soligor 450mm f8 lens from a camera shop recently for a bargain price. The optics are all clear and in great nick which is amazing considering its age, no fungus, hazing etc but the only thing thats bad is that it is missing the tripod clamp
This here is the exact same as mine but you can see where the tripod mount screws onto the lens.
I think that other brands but of simular size may also fit so if anyone has an old M42 telephoto thats knackered but it has the tripod clamp on it then please can I buy it off you please |

What size collar do you need? The most commonly available cheapy third party one is for the Canon 70-200 http://tinyurl.com/canon-tripod-collar
Iirc, it has an inside diameter of about 67mm. _________________ Dave - Moderator

Thank you Dave, I just have to think of some inventive way of measuring it now
I'm watching a simular brand M42 telephoto lens on Ebay that finishes soon so my plan is to try and win that - another lens to add to the collection hey ho and hopefully the tripod collar will fit the 450mm. If that plan fails I have bookmarked that link you gave and I'll invest in a Canon one and see how I get on !
WTD - means wanted but I was unsure if it's all fit hence the abbreviation |

The simular lens that has the collar on that I'm watching on Ebay finishes soon so hopefully I'll get a bargain and a tripod clamp |
