Yes, all shots were in MF mode with the same lens Nikkor 24/1.4G.
The fist one is not cherry, it is a maple against sun. The day was
warm, typical spring day in japan. The colour of cherry is very difficult
to reproduce by film or digital, and the computer I am using is
Apple Mac Pro, so the screen is no so good to see the result.
So the colour may be not so good on your screen....

@f8 maple and its new leaves (quite sharply registered)

@f4 In the park (Shinjuku Gyoen), people are enjoying cherry blossom party (no alcohol these days in this park)

@f4 Each petal is separately shot

@f2.4

@f8

@f8

@f8

@f8 Kind of difficult to shoot these scenes (my other shots were not good at all, you may have to use F8 or F11 or more)

@f8 At the public parking for bicycle and moppet

@f2.8 In front of Shibuya station (you can find a cherry tree, this one is beside "faithful dog HACHIKO")

Attila, my pleasure.

Wilson, I have not been AKIHABARA yet. Nor I'm an expert about
new trend neither.

I haven't been to Tokyo in over 15 years! When I was there THAT was the area famous for cameras and electronics. At least for the tourists Wink Which shop did you get the new lens?

We went to do banking business and visit the old neighbour close to my wife's house.
The south western part of city Tokyo, my wife grew up and live in this area till come to Canada.

Great series. Spring seems rather late here as things are only just starting to come alive.

Thank you guys looking these SAKURA blossom. Their flowers seem to
become pale every year to me, maybe my personal feeling. Their color is
one of difficult to represent in film or digital (slightly easier to me), but
you have to see them by yourselves to know what I am talking now. Very Happy
