I have got it -- although I didn't want it Smile

You know those moments ... When you're bidding and .. the item is yours .. Cool

The lens is faulty and has FD mount -- it was extremely difficult to take some samples

The lens held in front of the camera when taking pictures -- and fully open ..

The focusing is STUCK but I don't mind --- it must go to 'lens hospital' anyway Smile

It has very own character -- it's not Leica, it's not Zeiss -- Smile

Exactly Keysersoze.

Congrats Stan

and welcome in the "Angenieux Club"

Your pics showing the superb qualitiy of Angenieux Lenses.
Did own both Lenses, the 70-210 and the small 2.5-3-3/35-70mm.
Both lenses are superb. If you can, go for the 35-70 as well.
You will be very, very surprised about the optical quality of this "gems".

Keep us informed about this lens, the conversion to another mount and the
cleaning work.

Cheers
Henry

I wish to thank you again for having presented them to us.
I'm very fond of them.

As i can see on yours and Trifox pictures.. the are in the best hands for the Lens- IQ... Very Happy

I should buy the 70-210mm again sometimes..

But first i am going to try the 35-70mm lens for HD Movie on the 5D MKII this year. The 2 ring construction is helpfull for that, because you can add tools for focusing and zoom in/out rings..

Cheers
Henry

Gorgeous, of COURSE! You can make any lens sing, even the "crippled" ones. Smile
