I´m surprised how good Raw Therepee performs

And which one gets the closest to reality?

The "auto" mode often is not the best choice, BTW.

I don't remember and I would say none of them
I like the warm balance of camera raw but taste is different for everyone

I took this one at the same time on negative fuji 200 with contax 50 1.7 then I switch to my 40D but the ducks go away, it is the reason why you see their back, I wanted to catch them and kitchen them Very Happy

Well, it seems to me that camera raw is the closest to your film picture.

but look at the detail in capture one. Colour is easily rectified, but you can't put detail back in.

I'd like to see a comparison with Bibble, as Bibble says that they're outperforming capture one for resolution.

Raw Therapee has the best detail in the ducks. The rest have blown
highlights. I swear by Bibble and has the best color I've seen.

I tend to expose to the right and shot was probably over exposed
interesting that Raw Therapee is the only one who automatically bring back blown details
I have add the bibble version
I will make a comparison of resolution with another pic between bibble & capture

I have some doubt about their statement.

Anyway thanks Poilu who brings up this subject.
I will do some comparison(s) C1 vs Bibble for resolutions.

I have been using the latest version of Bibble (5) and I believe that they may well be right about the detail. Their new colour engine also produces the most natural and realistic (lifelike) colours I have seen

patrickh

I would love to see comparison with other converters.

Looks like I'll have to check out bibble - though I agree raw therapee in standard default mode fixed the duck backs best.

Were there big differences in jpeg file sizes that resulted?

Anyway, duck is best developed in a hoisin sauce Smile

I like much more the first, but use only the CS4. What think of it?
