After a whole winter without any snowflake my prayers were answered.

I took the chance and grabbed my Contax III and two expired rolls of Ektachrome and confronted the "cold"
Okay, it's not snow but at least it looks like Smile

Thanks!
Sorry for cheating MoFo Wink

Andy, the Sonnar is one of my favourite lenses here, I love it so much. Everyone should have one! And with film it's magic.
I have tried some f1.5 and 2.8 shots but it seems that 1/1250 is not working, have to check that. But the overexposed frame looked promising.

Thanks Rolf, I hope that the spring will come soon to you, I just talked with a friend today, he's from Gummersbach (NRW) and he told me about the new snow.

Yes, I like Ektachrome, fortunately I still have some rolls in my fridge.

Orio, yes, those are Almond Trees, different ones, some of them have pure white blossoms, others are nearly deep pink.

There is a story behind the Almonds here. Thousand years ago, a king abducted a princess from north europe. She was very sad (of course). And she said that she will marry him if he can bring the snow to the Algarve.
The king (a smart guy) started to plant almond trees, thousands. And there was the snow. She did marry him and they were happy together. At least that's what the people say Smile.

Yes Poilu, they blew me away on the light table. No way to show this on a monitor, unfortunately.

Only if you made a 3D model of an Almond Tree on the spot Wink

Having said that... I like the photos a lot. Finally a bit of color and a sense of spring on this rainy day, which has just turned into another night of snow... Crying or Very sad

Second one is amazing
And I agree with poilu, slides are nice scanned but when seen live, they're the best!

Yes, #2 for me too, but it's nice to look at all of them to get some pre-spring feeling. We had another load of snow today in Frankfurt and it looks like things won't change in the next days.

Make it "months".

According to scientists, big cold is going to stay (with on and off periods) until the beginning of April. Sad

Sandy your blossoms are balsam for the soul of us poor freezed here.

Can't wait to see our almond trees blossom (the first here to open)!
Wonderful shots Sandy, the Sonnar is great indeed.
