Some more from India

First of all: thank you very much indeed for the praise you heaped upon me. Quite a burden on my frail shoulders.
I hope you can take some more pictures I just converted from RAW to jpeg.
The first 6 were all taken with the 180mm Apo-Telyt ISO 320 @ f 3.4, i.e. wide open.
I did a whole series standing at one side of a bridge, having set the focus to about 7-8 meters, just waited until something came along, and clicked the shutter, when it was or less in focus:

4) Not completely in focus, but I still like it.





5) From the bridge I had a good view of the banks of the river Yamuna, where men and women were busy doing the laundry and drying it on the ground. Sometimes a water buffaloe would walk over it or lie down on some nicely coloured sheets, here laundry has been put to dry between nicely geometrically arranged products of agricultural activity:




6) A beggar sitting on the bridge. Of course I gave him something, not only because he was my model:





7) A driver of one of the typical three-wheel-taxis.

I am a) discouraged from attempting anything like this myself, as in "it's been said better than I ever can"... and b) encouraged and inspired, as in "photography is one of the best hobbies ever" and "there is hope for beauty in all things."

I love the people photos, the blue poles in the first two are amazing, and that shot of the banks of Yamuna: Stop Presses! This ought to win a major photo prize and earn you enough money to go back for another trip, plus a few lenses to bring along.

my favs are the first, I can see the men moving, and I absolutely love the far corner where these fantastic colors blending into brightness
