I notice I'm not the first to post on this topic this weekend, but I can't resist. The weather here has been fantastic with -18C and a lot of ice crystals forming on everthing outside. Hope it stays for Christmas.
It's not so easy to capture the landcape in a way that does it justice and "Esox lucius" has done that in his thread with his beautiful captures already, so I go for the close ups instead.

The trees are looking like this one. A bit like IR captures of foilage I think.

It's nice to find something with colour to contrast against the snow.

Thanks a lot guys. It's alwas a pleasure posting in this forum.

Rolf:
I like #2 best as well. I think the colors came out nice on that one.

Tony:
The Pancolar really excels in these bright sunny conditions. The sky gets very blue and the colors well saturated. Almost a bit better than reality.

Thanks!
I don't see it that often. Depends a lot on the light of course.
The scenery now is spectacular. We don't usually have this much frost on the trees in this part of the country. It's really beautiful. A lot of missed photo opportunities Smile

Trifox, Shrek:
Thanks for your kind comments too.

Great selection. The crystal shot is magic and the 2nd apple shot I love because of its naturally saturned colors.

Cheers

Attila, Tobias:
Thanks for your kind comments.
I think I must have gotten a good specimen of this lens, or maybe most of them are fine.

Great stuff, I can feel the cold here Cool

More apples is very appealing to me, great color and the shaped contrast between soft bokeh and the knife-sharp ice crystals is so well spotted.

Klaus, Vilhelm, Hexi:
Many thanks and a Merry Cristmas.

The frost crystals have all gone now and been replaced with big lumps of snow. Not so good for close up photography but fantastic Christmas weather.
