Actually it is north outer area of Kyoto, called KURAMA-Yama.
I seem to have made the same scenes with different lenses,

please click the photo to enlarge

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FG1 with G 20/1.7 (EFoV is 40mm's for 135 format)
(I bought the above kit in Tokyo, the price was US$800 after discounting.)

Contax G-Biogon 21/2.8 M-mount with M8 (EFoV is 28mm's for 135 format)

They were both @f8 I think, they produce different moods. M8's is more picturesque IMO.
Pana's G20/1.7 is quite a lens, the image was in Jpeg output from GF1,
whereas G-Biogon's image was made in RAW format. By the way Pana's image was done
with AF, I did not know how to do MF with GF1. Crying or Very sad

I am back to Toronto, so will upload more of trip photos.

In this case, I LOVE the rendering from the 20/1.7. You have captured a
dreamlike mood with amazing shades of green. It almost looks like a
movie set with painted backgrounds.

Gorgeous.
