I want to show you some photographs from a todays hike to a mountain-source, which comes directly out of a mountain-cave.

It was a bit of a dull day with fog and not the greatest light. Sometimes sun broke through ...

- last source shot is a freehand DRI shot from 4 exposures
I tried to render the DRI as the scene looked to me with my own eyes

- some of this stuff is stiched Wink

- 1st shot done with a Cokin ND grad. filter

Hi Tobias,

#1 with the ND filter is a great image. The others too, but I feel #1 is it !
Never tried out a DRI handhelded. Big surprise concerning the qualtity of this image.

BTW It seems that you have already a lot of snow. Heard today in the radio that at the Zugspitze the ski lifts are in use - 4 weeks before last year.

Tobias, you are one of my heroes, shooting Takumars so well

My faves are 4 and 6, due to their being more unusual and offering some strange details

Yes true. Even in lower places such as Schladming thiey opened the ski slopes. When it was cold last week the had run the snow-cannons all day through ...

Amazing set! But #1 is the best, almost like a CG rendering - again.
I seriously consider to move to Austria Wink, what a breathtaking landscape! Great job!

Carlsson said it right: Like a CG painting.

I see you have the high country Larch trees, and they have turned their beautiful shade of gold! Are those Lyall's Larches?

@Laurence

I am afraid I can't answer your question, Larry. I am not a botanic expert, we just call them Alpen Lärchen (alpine larch trees). Which typ it is exactly I do not know.
