This photo is a compressed and resized source file.
Source file ->IMGP4117.PEF (Pentax RAW) is
here as a zip file - 11Mb
Max size of the longer side is 900pix, 250Mb.
Please add information about what you did, step by step - this is not necessary but would be nice.
Do not convert it to mono. This is challenge about color too.
You can use any software you want.
Do not use any frames, signs, copyright marks please.
This is one week competition, starts Monday, Sept 07 ends Sunday 12PM, Sept 13 Central Time USA. If you are going to make description about what you did - you can post your final version as late as is possible - no later then ends time. This is your choice. Please post your picture one time only and don't do any changes later to improve it.
Everybody who wants to write his/her opinion, please do it after time ends for week session. With exception when member who posted his/her version wants to know opinions ASAP.
Thanks _________________ Cheers, Voytek

Ok, quick and dirty. It won't win any prizes in PS pissing competition, but it's lookable.
1. Get the verticals, vertical
2. Crop for effect. Most of the foreground, sidegrounds and top were wasted space, detracting from the subject. I took the subject to be, broadly, being on the boat on the canal, so this crop includes both and the tour guide. Annoyingly, there's still an odd headtop in the fg, but as yoomans, we're used to this. I cba getting out the clone brush.
3. Did levels, hightlights and shadows - slight tweak on those.
4. Rectify some slight CA
5. Did a free transform on the left side particularly - matey there on the left had a very long head, and managed to give him back a human shaped skull.
6. Applied USM, saved and posted. _________________ Dave - Moderator

Took some liberty with Rolfs version (I prefer it as well).
The characters here just needed a bit of help to tell a story.
Story board style from the movies
