Can't wait to try it! One of the cheapest options for getting into 6x7 format.

Here's one of my flickr faves taken with this camera:

Excellent choice! I've been meaning to pick one of those up for a year, but other things get in the way. The price has climbed over the last couple of years - forty to fifty dollars wasn't unusual then.

A jewel. A ROBUST jewel at that! Cool

Attila, Dave, and Laurence, thanks! I hear it weighs a little, but I'm OK
with that. The 90mm lens is supposed to be quite sharp (Tessar) with
good bokeh. Hope to add the wide angle and either the 135 or 180 down
the road. The only real drawback I see is since it has the 120 back, only
10 shots per 120 roll. Still two shots better than the 6x9 Bessa.

Wow Bill. That looks like quite a camera. I anxious to see some pictures. When will you get it?

PostPosted: Tue May 12, 2009 2:20 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Hopefully in a week or less, Ron. In the pictures there's a red plate with
wire handle behind the lens, this is the dark slide to protect the film when
changing lenses. If I forget to pull that out, I could take 10 pictures of
"midnight in a coal mine"...not good. Laughing Don't have to worry about
batteries, no meter.

Picked up the camera from the post office today, shot a few till it rained,
and here's a crappy pic I'll change out when there's more light:

Built like a tank and I find the shutter release/grip quite comfortable
to use.

Congrats, Bill. A real gem at a reasonable price.
Look forward to see your samples.
The Flicker shot you show is impressive...

Regards,
Jes..

Nesster and Jes, thanks, little frustrated with the weather right now: cold,
windy, and overcast with good chance of thunderstorms and rain, but
will see what happens today. Can't wait to try the wide angle lens that
hopefully will arrive Tuesday.

of course, I could've done a BIN on this one:

That leaves the 58mm wide angle with VF to hunt for.

Nah, the insomniac 2AM thing is much more exciting Wink

I'm suffering from Insomnia just thinking about the BARGAIN you pulled off on this one! Very Happy Way to go! Sometimes 2am is WORTH it!

Insomnia is not too cool when you have to work the next day, but luckily
I work my own hours. Wink

Nesster and Laurence, yes, I'm very happy to get this one for such a low
price. Hope there's no issues with it. Thanks for your comments.
