Hi, here are my new toys of this week. It seems I bought a little bit one-sided Laughing

Canon FD 2,5/135 S.C. for 20 Euro nearly unused manufactured in 1977

Canon FD 1,4/50 for 15 Euro nearly unused manufactured in 1982

Canon FD 2/35 S.S.C. for 20 Euro very good condition manufactured in 1979

and the price hit of this week

a Jupiter-21M for 10 Euro unused Laughing Laughing Laughing

Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow. I made some quick shots with the Jupiter this evening and I´m very impressed.

Rolf

I have the FD 50/1.4. It's nice. Enough sharp wide open. OK, just good lens.

I am waiting your testing report for the 35/2.0 Wink

Today was in Dortmund a camera market (you know, several times in a couple of towns). I found a dealer and he needs money. Shocked
So I believe the prices for the FD´s are acceptable.

And the Jupiter is from Ebay. You know the German saying: A blind chicken will find sometimes a corn Laughing Laughing Laughing

Good finds Rolf! I've used each of those Canon lenses for years and love each of them, especially the 135/2.5. If you're fortunate enough to find the 35/2 early version with concave front element, it is amazingly sharp on black and white film.

I was at a fair organised by the same man in Berlin on the 19th April - I picked up a list of other fairs in Germany and I see yours on the list!!!

There's another one in the same venue in Dortmund on September 19th, but my friend and I are planning to attend either Hamburg on October 4th or Dresden on October 17th.

Hey Malachy, is there any fairs in the Münster area in the near future?

Cheers

And what was your feeling there ?

Yesterday there were perhaps 40 dealers (max.), a lot of scrap, some types you couldn´t fine anyway (i.e. Takumare - I saw perhaps 5 lenses at all - *Bay says "Hallo") and the rest sometimes with a price fixing far away from any "market price".

May be that at Hamburg or Dresden other dealers will present their products.

Hey dude - we really do need to be discussing this stuff over ice-cold beers Wink

The closest fairs to Münster are the Dortmund one on September 19th or Essen on November 21st - the guy that runs them also does Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, Hannover and Leipzig.

There were in the region of 140 sellers at the Berlin event, and to be honest, it was really worthwhile for my friend and I.

He's just getting into photography, but already he's got himself some nice manual lenses. He picked up a Helios-44-2, CZJ Tessar 1Q 2/58 in alloy, CZJ Trioplan 4/100 (in better working condition than my lemon Twisted Evil) and some other lenses for under €100.00, so from that perspective alone, the trip was worthwhile. Not to mention the 2.8/105 S-M-C Takumar with fungus that I got for him for €7.00 - and have had it cleaned for free by a friend of mine Wink

I don't speak German, but the dealers clicked straight into English (apart from some snotty Leica dudes who were complete twits), and were really helpful.

Good to know, perhaps I will visit the next time another place.

On the other side I don´t understand it. Dortmund is No. 7 in Germany, my town no. 16, the next one no. 8 and then no. 17and so on, so here is a population of 2-3 million people in a radius of 30 km.

For anybody who is interested, I've put all remaining German dates in this thread Smile

Heh. You can bet your boots that if they rode motorcycles they'd be in the BMW Owners' Club.
Rolling Eyes I've never met such a bunch of asshats. Apart from the HOG, of course. Smile
