I am testing this one for a friend.

Unfortunately it has a serious front focus problem, so it´s future is on a shell Sad

Still I like these.

Heh I know what you mean, I have an uncoupled rf (Ikonta 524/16) and the distance guessing is often not too accurate especially with the small DoF of medium format. The Super Ikontas with coupled rangefinders are easy to calibrate and use, as long as it's not too dark.

I am 73% complete with restoring 4 different Ikontas and Super Ikontas to perfect working condition. Part I've done with the aid of manuals and Google, more complex things I paid a pro to do.

They're fantastic machines, incredible detail at f/8 to f/11.

Folders and their lenses are generally so simple that there's not much that can be wrong - I wouldn't be surprised if somebody's had it apart and replaced a lens element the wrong way round, or similar. Another thing I came across mention of, is the front focusing unit can actually pull the innermost element out with it, instead of it staying in place, and you get results like that; that was more to do with Agfas of the era, iirc.
