The Berberis was discovered by Darwin on the Beagle trip. It's a native of southern South America and is a very popular garden plant in the UK. The leaves do have spines but it's not related to holly - at least not closely. _________________ John |

Yes - it's one of my favourites. The flowers should be around for a few weeks. I'm waiting for a nice weather so that I can isolate a group of flowers against a blue sky. _________________ John |
