No big problem, you don't need it. You have the Biotars they are just as good as the Planar.

Attila congrats!!!!

You'll see that a bad light is no problem anymore.. Smile

Just a lamp and higher ISO and 85 with 1.4... Yes..

No, probably nothing compares to this lens for this price!

You'll be happy on a street in bad light conditions as well...!!!

Enjoy this gem..

It has big scratch I hope it will not impact anything, let we see.

Congrats, Attila. With a little luck the scratch does hardly influence the photos. Then you made a bargain of the year!

PostPosted: Sun Nov 09, 2008 10:15 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

That scratch is more than likely not a problem! At least I hope not. What a GREAT lens, and a nice bargain...well worth taking a chance.

Killer price Shocked

You will likely have no problems in low light.
If you use this lens as intended it will be fine is my guess.
I have one on ebay right now for $500 so you really scored Very Happy

Ohoh, GOOD catch!

The scratches on the front element hardly affect the result
unless they make the whole lens cloudy. Very Happy

Happy shooting, Attila.

After quick test, it is not impact anything as I expected I tried from f5.6-f16, because I was sure in wider apertures. NO PROBLEM ! Laughing Seems I have a life time lens, becuase nobody want to buy with this big scratch.

Silly me I left camera ISO on 800 sorry.

Congrats
I have a lens like this.
It is a Zuiko 2/24.
The lens has 3 small but deep scratches on the front. Usually death for a Wide angle.
I put black die on them and there is no effect to IQ in any way.
I compared the lens to a near new one I just sold.
No problems. Of course I use a hood and be careful bu that is OK Wink
