This is from Padang (literally means field or open filed) in Singapore, located in front of City Hall.
The road between the Padang and the City Hall (you see a car there in the picture) is F1 track during F1 Night Race in Singapore (24-26 Sept 2010)

Very good, the sort of shot you can spend a long time looking at it...frozen in time and fascinating for someone to see in e.g. 100 years time.

Here is one to make dull your day: morning shot on Allison-Bonnet Parkway, the busiest street in Hueytown, Alabama, the town closest to us and the town where we do most of our shopping. There is not a single building of architectural or cultural interest. You might notice the Walgreens sign in the upper left. That is where I was parked to drop off some film. The town is only about 60 years old.

Our main square President Kennedyplein, an abandoned parking.



Designed in the sixties, with expections about the increasing number of cars, but no idea about the disappearing interest for visiting the two nearby churches. So the parking is only once a year five days in use for the local carnival. With such square we honour an American president!
