I was jokinly saying that I wanted to be included in the dispersal of your camera lenses when you pass on to the next world...You have an exemplary collection of fine lenses that many a person would want. Does this make more sense to you now?

Received today :

Step up ring 49-55 Asahi -> first time I saw one
Asahi Bellows unit -> at the post office, I'll get it tomorrow
Spotmatic box -> only for collectors :p
Boxed Auto Takumar 85/1.8 -> seems to be in lower state than expected, altough it is rare
S-M-C 85/1.8 -> near new
Super Takumar 150/4 -> near new. Will probably be compared to the S-M-C, then sold
Asahi Pentax 67 and S-M-C/6x7 55/3.5 -> very, very impressive
And the bible : The ultimate Asahi Pentax screwmount guide -> very impressive book : tons of informations about Asahi Optical's products Shocked

I already searched by ISBN, I did'nt found anything else than the one which was on amazon at 440$. On a french Pentax site are given an adress to order a book, but I found nothing about it on Google, I think the firm has closed Confused

What's with those ridiculous prices??? I have that book too but I got it new when it was still for sale by Uitgeverij Jansz and at a reduced price too because I was an Asahi Optical Club Nederland member. Very Happy

My better half asked me what I'd like for my birthday back in May, and I mentioned a Helios-40 and this book.

She picked up a superb Helios - all by herself - on the 'Bay, and I mentioned the book to her the other evening, which she also agreed to buy.

The way I see it is, I'll have these items for a while - the book will always be there as a point of reference, and the lens gets used all the time - so in a way, they're both investments and will be passed on (never sold) if and when I find no further use for them.

It's all subjective, but look at the money people pay for the things they desire - art as an example. Ridiculous perhaps, but if that's what people want, and that's what they're willing to pay to get it, then fair play to them.

I already loaded an Ilford Delta 400, which will probably be ended tomorrow, exclusively done with the 55/3.5, and the second film will be an other Delta 400, exclusively with the 200/4 (both lenses are S-M-C, the 200/4 is absolutely mint). After.... maybe a color film Smile
