Atomstitcher, that Durdledoor and moon are awesome!

This is with a Nikkor 135mm f3.5 AI, Nikon D300. I think exposure was 1/1000 at f8

Ian, #2 is amazing!
But what are these blue spots? Flare?

PostPosted: Sun Mar 04, 2012 8:27 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Cheers Nikos.

Yes, it's flare, lens used was Meyer Primagon 4.5/35, it doesn't have the better red V coating so does flare. It's 12 shots stitched together hence the multiple flares. I considered trying to retouch the flare but just left it.

Cheers! Although it's the sun in that shot of Kimmeridge Bay. It might be the blue tint which threw you off, but I liked this one better than the fully colour corrected version.

Both are good but first one is excellent, I love the perspective. Zenitar 16?

Some stitches I did last week during some rare sunshine with my beloved 1955 Jupiter-8 red P:

So many wonderful shots of such beautiful scenes and places. I especially love the mountainscapes. I would love to live near the mountains.

SMC Takumar 55mm 1.8 on Canon 50D.

Pentacon 135mm 2.8 on Canon 50D. Wildflowers reflected in the creek.

Helios 44-2 58mm 2 on Canon 30D.

I took a trip into the North Cascades of Washington state a couple of weeks ago to climb Magic Mountain, which lies just outside the park boundary. I took my trusty Nikkor 80-200mm f4, along with a Nikkor 35mm f2 and a Nikkor 12-24mm AFS. Here are a couple of shots with the 80-200mm. If you would like to read about our trip, you can find it under this fanciful title:

"Kissing the Goat Lick on Magic Mountain"
