Looking north from Kirby Fell.

Shot last September, found it on my harddrive yesterday, had never looked at it before.

This was taken with the fifth Nikkor 50-300mm lens I have owned. This one is an AIS version (have also owned non-AI, two AI and one AIS lenses). Each time, I got sidetracked by another lens and sold the 50-300 to pay for it. This time, for sure ... It's on a Nikon D780. Taken in the Wild Sky country of the Cascade Mountains.

Beautiful tones and composition! I've been there the only time I went to the US as it was not far from Murrieta where we stayed a few weeks for the surrounding MX tracks
