after viewing literally thousands of images in my life the 2 lenses i want most in my bag are this one (and the 85/1.4 planar T, which i just got a few months ago!). i am amazed every time i see pictures from this lens...maybe someday...

I add some taken in studio to show how the lens does in a professional portrait/glamour model session.
Some of the images show moderate nudity, if you don't wish to see them just scroll down to the next message.

Many of these images have been heavily cropped to obtain the final composition.
The camera used to take these photos was the Canon EOS 5D Mark II:

I hadn't seen those studio shots before, but I really like them. It's getting harder and harder to resist buying one.

Thanks Peter. Yes in fact I think I never posted them here before.
Here's some from the carnevale, mostly nocturnals, all hand-held. All taken with the Canon EOS 5D except for the fourth one which was taken with Canon EOS 400D:

Other nocturnals do follow now, also hand-held, these were taken in Cernobbio on the lake of Como.
Camera used was Canon EOS 5D Mark II:

It is worth noting that I never used a lens hood in any of the Distagon 1.4/35 photos that I have posted in this whole thread.

Now, that I was allowed to use Orio's Distagon 1.4/35, I can nothing but agree to 100%!!

What a lens! Shocked

Colours, contrast, CA, distortion, detail, sharpness, bokeh ... you name it, this lens shines in every field!

I don't know if every copy is that good, but Orio's copy is simply amazing!!

Feel.... urge ... to ... buy.... (Aaarrrrrgghhh!)

Time to share some shots with my new favorite lens. This is a Contax AE version with an HFT front element.

Hotel Marriott, London

Not perfectly centered - it was a snap (not very well prepared shot)

PP in LightRoom - a little bit more than usual but still not too much IMO..

CA reduced at minimum in LR.
