The Contax C/Y 100-300 is the best zoom covering that range on the planet - period.
The IQ matches and/or surpasses even the ZE/ZF 100mm prime lenses at 100mm and easily matches or surpasses the slower Canon 300L which is the best 300 prime I know of at around f/4 or so.
