I will always remember a snow storm that happened to me on the mountains of Rogaland, Norway.
I was out there with a friend, I was driving a rented car.
There was sunlight and a sky that was blue for a good part, with only some clouds. The air was sparkling but definitely not cold, just mildly cool
In the turn of a couple of minutes since I looked at the blue sky (I am not kidding), a snow storm arrived. The freezing wind was so strong that for the life of me, with all my muscle force I was not able to open the car's door. The snow was falling nearly horizontally.
After less than 5 minutes of that, and I am probably abundant with time, on the road surface, a layer of totally frozen snow, hard just like ice, was covering the surface. The layer was at least 3 cms and it was impossible to make the car move over that.
Another 5 minutes after, and the sun was back, and the warmth quickly dissolved the layer of frost, allowing me to drive back to Stavanger.
That was the strangest atmospheric phenomenon that I was ever witness of.
