I simply liked these because of the rich colors that the wildflowers can give us.

All of them shot with Velvia 50...

It's amazing to me as a newcomer to the PNW how many of the garden flowers I grew up with came from here. These are typically beautiful captures Laurence,

thanks

Delicious Larry!
I forget how much later things bloom in the elevations.
These all were done in my garden a month or two before your trip.

Love the first two Larry. perfect focusing and DOF. And Velvia colours of course - flowers are best for Velvia.

THANK YOU, all of you!

Vevia is my favorite film for floral images.

THANK YOU, all of you!

Vevia is my favorite film for floral images.

I'm excited to get a Contax G rangefinder, and to shoot with Velvia with much more ability to compose quickly, compared to the RB67.

On the other side, framing with a rangefinder is never as precise as with a reflex camera, especially at close distances, due to parallax errors (as you surely know better than me)

Actually Orio, I was only barely aware of that fact.

So...what happens wide open and close? Is it a really tough problem with a rangefinder?

I have good supplies of Velvia 50. However, Provia 100F is my overall film of choice.

Ummmm what a nice set, Larry.
I also like flower shots myself, these are very very good.

The most of Contax G-lenses can go down to 50cm (1'8"), you can
capture similar shots too. Very Happy
