No, not those UK hooligans Wink

The Arsenal factory in Kiev (Ukraine) produced 3 versions of the Jupiter-8 in Kiev/Contax mount. The first version dates from 1954. Earlier versions were made by KMZ. From 1957 on, Arsenal introduced the Jupiter-8M, a redesigned (also optically according to Princelle) Jupiter-8.

Princelle lists this lens as A160. The 3 Arsenal Jupiter-8 versions (according to SovietCams):
PT3560: first version (1954-1956), metal aperture ring. Published a few days ago in Equipment Gallery
PT3565: second version (1956-1957), black aperture ring
PT3570: third version (1957-1959), black aperture ring, without "No" serial prefix

I will first show the 3 versions side by side, followed by showing them lens by lens (in combination with NEX-5). I will also repost the images I showed in the previously posted topic for the sake of clarity.

You can also read my newest blog entry.

The 3 versions compared. From left to right: PT3560, PT3565 and PT3570

One of my favourite lenses! Looks really good on Nex.

Where does the "Victory Day" fit? Smile
