Mounted on 5D MkII.
It's a very fine zoom lens with micro abilities : 1:4 ratio when at 28mm using the macro button.
It's sharp and colourful, easy to use and smooth.

Moïra, weather was grey but these Tamrons render colors well.
Martin I had to turn around him and kneel down to be close to the floor and have an interesting point of view. You know, Haley's macro shooting position. _________________ Olivier - Moderator

Thank you Roman.
Your finding it great as shown on my photos, tends to prove that it's not an exception.
Yes, it is not a fast lens with its opening of f:4.
But it is very versatile : 28mm to 135mm with F4.
Not enough for portrait ? Well, in fact we have the ability to come closer to our subject with the macro button and, doing so, obtain a shorter depth of field with a quite nice bokeh.
Could you share some of your photos here ?

The snail pic is my favourite. Another lens I can recommend is the Tamron SP 35-210mm. I was quite surprised by this lens. This lens has a nice macro setting as well (see http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic.php?t=51469 for some pictures). |
