Tamron 35-70mm f/3.5 (17A), GH2. I like it. It's got a nice little 1:2.8 mag ratio macro (close focus) on it too. Always nice.

Wide Open and f/8 (I think) at 35mm and 70mm, 100% crops
The moon at 70mm wide open, 100% crops.

Thanks! It is pretty much - superb I mean. On µ4/3 it's easily a match for the Zeiss Contax C/Y 35-70. It probably is on APS-C and APS-H too tho I don't have any good cameras with those sensors in. :p |

Thanks guys. Don't forget that all my lenses are always for sale.
I recently did a 35-70mm heads up between 8 different 35-70mm lenses and this Tamron was at the top of the heap. Tied with the Nikkor AF 35-70/2.8D or maybe just a tad better. Not bad for a $55 buy I thought. I was actually expecting the Tamron to be one of the worst... Surprise surprise.
If anyone is interested I posted up the comparison here: http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic,p,1248289.html#1248289 |
