My takumar startet to give strange problem. It gets hard to rotate the focusing ring near infity. Sad Any cure?

Which takumar lens are you talking about?
Are you trying it when mounted with an adaptor?
Because I have the same problem sometimes when mounting my SMC Takumar 1.4/50 on the Canon camera with the adaptor. It gets very hard to push the focusing ring to the infinite.
When handling the lens alone, or when mounted on a regular M42 camera, there is no problem.

I suspect that the pressure of the adaptor makes the focusing ring too tight.
