I love this shot...I feel the intense concentration coming from the bee as it hones in on the rose(colors are great)

Thank you. Very Happy

Moira, imagine my own intense concentration...
There were a lot of bees and I made some shots in a row to try to get one. This one I discovered when looking at them on my screen... Lovely gift. Laughing
I like photography for those very special moments of intense pleasure.

Another one was there just before she arrived :
(sorry, she's blurred)

Steinheil lenses are fantastic!
A bit like Leicas that are only known to people who are really into the subject.

I can't do this yet as a film camera works out to expense to do these shots, with my hit and miss techniques Very Happy So I will admire your work and learn Wink I love the fact bumble bees are slower than the other bees.We don't get them in Australia but I have seen them in NZ.

Thank you for your kind words.

Loke, I was lucky with this silver steinheil quinar as I got it on the bay from a german professional store which mentionned some noticable internal haze. Surely because of haze there were very few bids and I got it for a good price, as far as we're speaking of a Steinheil.
At home, I had to apply some contrast to improve pics.
After a while, I tried to open it and clean lenses... and it worked great. There is no more haze.

Removing haze sometimes work well, but often is impossible. I didn't manage to service a hazy Piesker Picon 2.8/135. But it gives lovely photos anyway when I add some contrast in postprocessing.
The above pictures didn't need any PP, which is very rare, even with AF Canon L lenses.
