Sony a7r: what are these spots on my bokeh?

I bought myself a Sony a7R, yesterday.
I know that my biogons will not work fine on this body.
I think of it more like a complement/replacement to my 5D2 (which I will keep till it breaks).

First impressions:
I like it. Nice ergonomics overall. Better than Canon.
The electronic viewfinder is an amazing improvement over my NEX-5N.
Probably the software has a few bugs.
Very happy to say that the 50mm 1.4 Planar (C/Y) really shines on this body.

Now, my issue:
I noticed these strange spots on my yellow ninja-star (photo taken with Planar 2/135).
This is a very OOF image. The spots seem rather sharp for this kind of image.
Do you think this is a sensor issue?
This is a 100% crop (ISO 2000).

P.S.
Attila, I hate you for getting me into the NEX game Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Congratz too, I would think this is an lens issue. I have seen similar in the high light bokeh of a few of my lenses too.

Test with two similar lenses from the same spot Wink

To be what you say, it would have to repeat itself identical in every ghost image of the iris, but this does not seem to happen (at least from what we can see in this image).

I have taken many similar photos with 5D2 and the 2/135, never seen something like this.

With this much OOF, iris images have separated according to CA correction wavelengths -- perhaps 'dirt' is colored.

I agree is (or was) a lens issue. Questions are can this be repeated now?, or has speck removed?

Although seems unlikely cause, I would also check for sensor dust.

If your theory is correct, then the problem ought to be in the green filter (blue is obviously clean).
But then, why don't we see it in the orange ghost? It would have to be visible there also.
I'm not convinced...

Usually faults within the lens itself get visible by that (a nice method btw that I use quite often), like fungus spots etc.

Klaus, in my personal experience, spots in lens become visible in all the iris ghosts, not only in some of them.
Is your experience different?

Since you mentioned it, this lens has a tiny amount of fungus in the periphery of one element.
And it needs cleaning.
(Do you know who could service it for me?)

Here's an example. There is a spot pattern to the right, but not necessary all over Wink

Incorrect theory. Wink

As when shining led torch into front of lens to count elements by number of reflections, notice different colors...in reverse, the image highlights show the reflections from different elements...only one element has fungus, as Nikos mentions:

This is a Contax AE lens.
Zeiss do not service these anymore Sad
At least, this is what thy state on their site.

I don't think Zeiss service any lens with fungus, "In general, Carl Zeiss does not accept instruments infested by fungus."
