I like this one more than the previous one. It's more natural to my eyes. Great portrait Smile

Yes, extremely nice portrait and looking professional, of course you Karabud know what do !

A very little criticism if you allow... I think that the skin was smoothed a bit too much compared to the hair.
Of course it looks great, but I think there should be a "balance" between the various elements: if the hair and browse are extremely detailed, like in this case, the skin must retain also some fine detail, for optical coherency.
Or, if you prefer the skin super smooth, you should apply a little "beauty blur" to the hair and browse as well, to make them stand out less and be a better match.
The way it is now, the hair overpowers and "dominates" the attention.
This, in my personal opinion of course!

Does the rear optical elements move when focusing, or does it stay always in the same position? Could any owner of the 85/1.4 tell me? Thanks.

yes ! - karabud -- excellent pictures !!

It seems to be great piece of glass at reasonable price!

@ no-x - I have found ONLY this - I know you were asking for REAR ELEMENT - Smile:
... " This lens is internal focus. The front optical element does not rotate and the body does not rack in/out when you focus. A very nice feature. We’ll come back to this shortly. .. "

ONE of the reasons to have FIXED rear GLASS implemented is FLOATING ELEMENT.
Well, NOT ALWAYS - some lenses don't have fixed rear lens and do have floating element..

It's not possible to find the info about floating element of Samyang 85 f/1.4 -- if you find it -- the lens must have it then ...
I would say NO -- but this is question to karabud Wink

Thank you Karabud.
The lighting must be very good to have those figures.

I like the previous page softer portrait very much too.
You clearly have this lens at your hand.

Excellent pictures! What I understand is that this lens is very good for portrait shots, because of it's performance wide open. It does not seem to improve so much stopped down, so it is a specialized lens.

seems so, and safer to stay wide open because the aperture mechanism of the Samyang die after 1000 shots
