Guys,
I just noticed the discussion about the names of the Yashica lenses in the Marketplace.
Here's a small sum-up for all who might me interested.
a) Yashinon/Yashinon-R with Y-Bayonet: only a few lenses belonging to the "original" Yashica Bayonet lenses in the early 60s
b) Yashinon/Yashinon-R with M42 Thread: again oldest lens type belonging to the early Yashica M42 SLRs
c) Yashinon-DX - all M42 : later type, (single) coated
d) Yashinon-DS - all M42 : last "cheap line" type at the end of Yashica M42 SLR production (officially single coated although some look quite colorful)
e) Yashinon DS-M - all M42 : last "premium" M42 line, multi-coated
f) Yashica DSB Lens - all Y/C-mount: single-coated line of "consumer" lenses
g) Yashica YUS Lens - all Y/C-mount: same as DSB but for sales in th U.S. - YUS simply stands for Yashica US
h) Yashica ML Lens - all Y/C-mount: multi-coated "premium" line lenses
i) Yashica AF Lens - all Y/AF-mount: well, easy guess here, those belong to the Autofocus SLRs ... and some of them are made by Sigma (yuck!)
Important to keep in mind:
Yashinon: usually M42 (if you get a Y-Mount then give me a shout!)
Yashica DSB/ML Lens: C/Y Bayonet

Hi,
the DS-M 50/1.7 is radioactive, indeed. I am not 100% sure but the
ML 50mm aren't because there were built in a time where no radiant
glasses were used anylonger. |
