These images (taken on the mountains a little South of my hometown) will be forever associated for me to a great sadness, because I completed the editing on them only a few hours before my father passed away.
This is also the reason I haven't posted them yet. But now I decided it's nonsense, so here they are:

1. This is called "Pietra spaccata" (broken rock) and it's a mountain near my hometown. EOS 5D and Leica Elmarit-R 135

2. Hills near the "Mille Pini" (One Thousand Pines) mountaintop. EOS 5D and Zeiss Distagon 2.8/25

3. Other hills, all of them mark the beginning of the Apennines. EOS 5D and Zeiss Distagon 2.8/25

4. Curious bushy vegetation growing on the drier Southern side of a hill. EOS 5D and Zeiss Distagon 2.8/25

5. Vines: a typical landmark of the hills around my hometown. It was a very hazy day. EOS 5D and Zeiss Distagon 2.8/25

6. A mountain church's bell tower. EOS 5D and Leica Elmarit-R 135

7. Mountain landscape with a tumbledown castle in the far background, near the rocky mountaintop. EOS 5D and Leica Elmarit-R 135, a B+W polarizer was used for this shot to help bring the castle shape out of the haze.

8. The valley of the river Ceno, South (source) direction. EOS 5D and Zeiss Distagon 2.8/25

9. Again the valley of the river Ceno. EOS 5D and Zeiss Distagon 2.8/25

That's all.

Those two lenses in your hands are doing the fabulous countryside justice. I love your country - spent two years in Rome and travelled all over northern and central Italy. Hoping to make a trip back next year

I agree with Patrick. Orio, your own words are what I want to say:

"Thanks, these are the kind of series that I appreciate the most, because they show me parts of the world that I have never seen. Please keep them coming."
