First of all I want to thank Carsten for introducing this great slow(!) lens to us, I'm a follower of his "prime lens top list" in Flickr and bought this one right after I've seen it in his list Smile Such a beauty for just 12.50 GBP!
Here is his topic about this Zuiko:
http://forum.mflenses.com/a-walk-through-town-with-the-zuiko-3-5-28-t5029,highlight,olympus+zuiko.html

This is without doubt one of my best lenses, maybe even my best lens Smile Today I had a fliakr Izmir group meeting and I loaded a lot lenses to my bag and 2 Sunpak flashes (433D, 422D and Cactus V2s triggers) and the result I nearly never unmount the Zuiko* Smile
By the help of the flashes I used low ISO, 1/125, f:16.

I couldn't upload full resolution images due to huge sizes but add crops soon.
Whole set:

And a few low res ones:

* It needs cleaning as I can see the dusts in every shots Smile

That is a nice lens.
It is your sensor that needs cleaning.
The dust looks pretty superficial.
Use a blower rocket but with not to much enthusiasm.
To much pressure will send the dust into the VF.
Test after blowing off against a white sky at f22 and infinity.
If it still looks yuck.
A more thorough cleaning is need (read: cleaning kit) Cool

Yes, indeed my 5D also needs cleaning Smile

And here are the 100% crops*:

*You can see the ISO and shutter speed on the SS, the aperture must be f:16 at all of the shots.

This is an outstanding lens as evidence in your shots. If you can find the 24mm at reasonable price, grab it too. Like its sibling, it also outstanding. I have 3 Zuikos and love all three of them.

Sometimes, I wish I have a FF body to enjoy it's full potential.

I've spent a lot for the last 3 months for camera gear (just 5D has its own heavy effect Smile) so I suspend buying new lenses for a while. But my next lens purchase will be oly 21/3.5.

Yeah! I have the 2/21 and it's truly an amazing lens. And I read that the only difference between the f2 and f3.5 is the speed. IQ has been reported to be similar on both. By all means, get the 3.5/21. Besides, the f2 is more rare.

This seller's price is always on the SUPER high side. I wonder if there's anyone buying from them. There must be, they have been on the bay quite long.

This ( Click here to see on Ebay ) is the cheapest I have seen at $596 and Andy mentioned one was sold for $910 a few days before that.

I would say, the reasonable going price nearer to $910 than the $596.

Still I've the dirty sensor but I improved my outdoor strobe style and I really LOVE this zuiko Smile

I woke up early to take a photographic trip to Bergama (Pargauma/Pergamos:People of High City) but there was a typo so I went to casual trekking with 5D and double flashes and had just 45 mins to shoot in the ruins of Sardis which made these shots in a real hurry, we really ran from scene to scene but I really enjoyed the Zuiko and double flashes. Here are the resuts:

whole set. http://www.flickr.com/photos/yalcinaydin/sets/72157608178214122/

Due to connection problems I couldn't upload full resolution samples but I can assure that detail in every part of the images are great, this is a really sharp lens.

I love contrasty colors and using strobes in day-light giving the scene a look of night capture Smile
Technically speaking, 2 MFs (Manual Flashes Very Happy ), Sunpak 422 and 433, used in varios power combination from both sides of the camera, Zuiko is always f:16, ISO100 and shutter speed varies between 1/125 and 1/200

Quote:
Sardis, also Sardes (Lydian: Sfard, Greek: Σάρδεις, Persian: Sparda), modern Sart in the Manisa province of Turkey, was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Lydia, the seat of a proconsul under the Roman Empire, and the metropolis of the province Lydia in later Roman and Byzantine times. As one of the Seven churches of Asia, it was addressed by the author of the Book of Revelation in terms which seem to imply that its population was notoriously soft and fainthearted. Its importance was due, first to its military strength, secondly to its situation on an important highway leading from the interior to the Aegean coast, and thirdly to its commanding the wide and fertile plain of the Hermus.

Great pictures! You can't go wrong with any Zuiko lenses even if cheap or expensive quality is always permanent ! Excellent!

And here are two crops to see the high detail of 5D+zuiko duo:

Atilla, my ultra-wide choice will be definitely the Zuiko 21/3.5 Smile

I don't know any better 20mm lens under 1000 USD and I also don't know any lens above 1000 USD Laughing Laughing

A few Zuikos have ED glass, such as 21/2.

I had one of these 28/3.5. Zuiko thrives on strobe. Then you see sharpness and saturation and contrast just right, and beautiful colors.

Hello Yalçin.
Nice lens and nice shots. Smile

I was wondering what software is that on this image ?

Thanks
Olivier

I believe Yalçin used Adobe Lightroom.

Nice shots Yalcin, but in my eyes, they are still under-exposed.
