Wonderful shots! Which exposure does that take?

PostPosted: Mon Mar 18, 2013 5:39 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

I used ISO 320, F.2.8, exposure was about 30sec.

Beautiful indeed. This one is still my favorite due to the composition.

That's roughly what I took mine with as well. However, seeing some other people's pictures I think that somewhat higher ISO and shorter exposure might have been good since the moving Norther Lights can blur in the 30 sec exposure. Mine below, hope you don't mind...

The only way to better those shots would be if a shooting star appeared. Very Happy

I love the Samyang 14mm for this kind of shot, and this shot is the kind of shot i want to aspire to be good enough to take.
Superb i may even set as my wallpaper for a few days

Stunning!
For next occasion I would suggest to stop down to f/4 and double exposure time (or ISO if possible).

Thank you all for your comments!

I agree that even longer exposure time would be intresting. Hopefully this phenomenon happens again within 5 years!

Raffwal nice one!

Just love the second one! I have heard that this year they have continued longer. I'm hoping to see them when I'm in Kittilä next month!
