Till this time I was hundred percent sure this is the best 24mm lens what I ever have. No I am hesitating perhaps Yashica 24mm ML same good as this one.

Hi-res images are here

Have you ever tried the Rokkor 24mm? It has an excellent reputation!

Yes Nikkor 24 2.8 is a nice lens... I got the older model and it's very nice...
Central sharpness is quite good also wide open..
Only thing I saw it's a bit soft in the very edges...
If I saw right that AI-S versio is also a bit soft from the very edges.

Yes, USA a bit uniformised world to me compare with EU countries, but you have many other benefits. I glad to not see these buildings if I have a chance again to live in Florida Wink

You have fantastic natural places, that we can only dream about here, because 2500 years of civilization have led to the almost total destruction of native natural environment in Europe.

Orio and Attila, you're right of course. It's just that you guys DO have so
much history, going back many centuries and I've been a fan of architecture,
statues, since I was a kid.

Well, there's a balance in the things at least, if I want to see the Grand Canyon, I have to go there, if you want to see Venice, you have to come here. It's sort of fair, I guess Laughing

Well, I could go to Venice Beach in California... Laughing Yeah, not the same. Wink

Well I remember that after two weeks spent in Vancouver (a city completely built in the XX century) I wished to see a romanic church or I would have gone crazy! Laughing

New York was completely another ballpark though.

Attila and tanheis

Thanks for both series they are terrific. The 24/2.8 nikkor is definitely one of my favourites and I cannot find a reasonably priced competitor.

Thank you Patrick! I guess Yashica ML 24mm f2.8 an equal lens for reasonable price.
