I'm not interested in the longer focal lengths - not even for collecting purposes because I like to use my lenses and the 1000mm is too big to handle. But maybe for you it's different?

Is this the M42 or the PKA bajonet version Peter?

It's the PK version (so not even A). The M42 version would have been sold under the Takumar designation.
