Hello everybody!
Yesterday, i received new toys from EBay)))
There was:
1) Minolta Rokkor-x 50 f1.7 49mm (filter screw)
2) Minolta Rokkor PF 58 f1.4
3) pentax SPII with S-M-C Takumar 55 f1.8
Rokkor 58 have been successfuly cleaned and converted to canon ef. Infinity is ok, but it hurts my 5dII mirror, Even after cutting of the rear lens ring..
here is some samples taken with this beautiful lens..
my happy face))
Does anybody have converted minolta 50 1.7 lens? At first look, it will be difficult to do, because of diaphragm mechanism mounted on the back on the lens. _________________ SLR:Canon: 5D II; Canon 450D; Zenit TTL; Canon 500N; Pentax SPII; Zenit 122;

It's little bit soft on wide-open.
And finished conversion of second rokkor-X with infinity focus. I will send shots later. _________________ SLR:Canon: 5D II; Canon 450D; Zenit TTL; Canon 500N; Pentax SPII; Zenit 122;

Conversion is easy. No special tools are needed. I used drill, dremel (you can use rasp instead. takes little more time), screwdriver and rasp. _________________ SLR:Canon: 5D II; Canon 450D; Zenit TTL; Canon 500N; Pentax SPII; Zenit 122;

I do have the 58 1.4 MC Rokkor PF too, but i used it on my 40D camera. Gotta shave of some metal to use it on a 5d2 soon.
Second link and the adapter mentioned are fine once you buy MC Rokkor 58 1.2 lens. This one cost $500 or about, and EUR50 for an adapter with a precision length is normal price. But if you have a 1.4 lens this is too much. |

The Rokkor looks good on the outdoor shots. Yes the Viv does look a bit sub-par with a few 135s. _________________ Casual attendance these days |
