Most of them has leaks on curtain, hard to find without that, but not so hard to fix it with little paint drop. Otherways I found frequently working ones. I have several ones I think.

No that is not the case.
My top nostalgia camera is the Minolta XE-1, that replaced my SRT101 in the seventies. It is still my all time favorite!
In the sixties I was not too much impressed by Praktica Nova with Domiplan and have chosen for Minolta SR1.
I got interested in Praktica cameras later because of M42 lenses that I could fit on my DSLR. And the B-series lenses don't fit |

Well I only got a MTL3 and MTL5 because they were attached to the lenses I wanted but would never have bought any M42 Praktica otherwise, but in saying that......they are a good solid, basic camera and would recommend them to beginners esp as being very cheap to buy.

No doubt those rounded and smoothed out corners add beauty to the camera.
