Today I aquired a lovely set consisting of a Minolta str 101 body with a Vivitar series 1 28-90mm F2.8-3.5 and a Rokkor 100mm F2.5.
Pictures of the lens itself, taken with the vivitar wide open at 90mm.
Photo's taken with this lens will be added in the next post.

I have the earlier MC version of this lens, which is a joy to use too. I don't know if there are any significant differences, but I picked it up for £20, so was pretty happy with it. |

That is an excellent outfit you purchased, and these are some excellent photos!!! The full length tiger shot is magazine stuff! Bravo!
I love the SRT101 - the best looking camera ever, to my mind. I have a few (I collect cameras) and also find them very nice to operate. The 100mm is a definite winner!
What make of adapter are you using? I've had a couple that have been brutal on my DSLRs, so I'm a bit leery. I have an Exakta to Canon one that's good, but the Chinese ones I got for 8 bucks just about ripped the chrome off my Kx's lens mount. Not good.
Any advice here would be gratefully received! My own thing with old cameras/lenses is B&W printing, but it would be fun to use some of my lenses on my Pentax or Canon DSLRs! _________________ If you prefer "I think, therefore I am" to "non sum qualis eram", you are putting Descartes before Horace. |

As for the adapter I only use cheap ones, my minolta to nex one I bought from ebay seller win2may, it has no brand on it and this person currently has no listings. _________________ FLICKR PHOTOSTREAM |

As usual both of the series you included for this lens are fantastic and your work really is something special!
I have an older version of this Rokkor which has the looks of the older Minoltas with knurled rings etc. It also has the "PF" designation. I don't know much about the MD version. Sometimes optical formulas changed sometimes not with MDs, I have never seen the MD version before so I am not sure.
I looked at what I had on my HDD for this lens. While this isn't a photograph in league with what you've shown previously, I love the 3D pop you can get with this lens wide open at 2.5.
