I have put a page of test photos taken with a Meyer Orestegor/Pentacon 4/200 to http://galactinus.net/vilva/retro/eos350d_orestegor200.html.

This was also one of the lenses sent to me.

I like the Pentacon 4/200, however I prefer the Jupiter-21.
But your shots show how good this Pentacon lens is! Shocked

Nice Captures!

I'm pleased with my Pentacon as well. It was very cheap when I bought it many years ago, and considering that I think it's a lot of lens for the money.

Lovely bokeh and gentle colours. Very nice indeed.

Surprisingly good lens Veijo. Very nicely presented samples with a range of situations. Thanks very much

My Meyer Orestegor (zebra) tends ro be rather yellowish and has a lack of contrast. This is really no problem in digital age ... ahem should be.

Your copy of this lens is very good, Veijo.
Mine wasn't as sharp.

I don't think mine is that sharp either... Embarassed

Unbelievable sharpness from a Pentacon, Veijo! Is it a zebra or later version?

Pentacon zebra (Orestegor 200) is a nice sharp lens. If not might be a reason it was opened and not rebuild correctly.

It was a later version. It isn't possible to say much about the sharpness on the basis of web size images only so I've up-loaded some full-size, very slightly sharpened versions to my site. They'll give a better idea of the IQ:
