The very first impression from the new achievement.

f/2.8 1/125 s; ISO 200

To compare - look to that topics (however conditions are little different):

It was offered to me for $202.4 with Mamiya Extension Ring No. 2, and HOYA HMC UV(c) Filter 67mm (however without the front cap, for which (no name) I had to pay additionally $1) in the condition "like new", So I had not been able to withstand the temptation.

How I learned it has a Double-Gauss optical formula, which makes it completely different from other 150mm Mamiya (and not only Mamiya's) lenses

It's a very fine lens, congrats!

I got one from Japan a few years ago when I was planning to get into the Mamiya 645 system.

Here a some shots taken with my Sony a7.

There are new tests at the better condition:

Phase One 645 DF+ P-25

F/2.8

F/5.6

f/11.0

Evidently the lens is perfectly sharp even from 2.8

I predict an APO 200/2.8 coming to you soon.

I own the manual sample, and always had been happy with it. Especially for the portraiture. For the very that reason I decided to upgrade it to the more modern AF version with the automatic diaphragm on my MF digital camera, when I discovered it for affordable price. For the better convince.

Well, it might be perfect for sport, or wild life. But for the portraiture I would prefer 210mm with 4.0 diaphragm.

Even the sample of present discussion, for my opinion is over sharping the women's portraits.

Look like much better it worked at the shadow environment with the much weaker contrast:

I'm sure you're right in the case of tight portraits.

Do you have the CZJ 180/2.8? That's a favorite of mine.
