Very nice captures! I just love the color rendition on the 55mm F2.8 Nikkor...

Some of them look over sharpened.

Congratulations, some of the best bug macros I've ever seen on our forum.

Very nice macro. The magnification looks like it is beyond 1:1. Did you use a bellow or something?

Really fine series. The nikkor is very well represented by these colourful shots.

Absolutely wonderful, the orange bug is to die for Smile

They seem very large indeed.. what distance from them were you.. I can never get close enough before they fly off (except for mosquitoes that actually come to me and hang around to stay...) lol

Thank you all for your kind words and curiosity.

Those are my very first macro shots with real macro lens. I don't even have a macro lens yet (yes the micro nikkor is not mine, my generous friend lend me).

@y_photography: I don't familiar with macro terms, such 1:1 magnification, bellow, or else. Could you explain me?

Image is cropped. I use Lightroom to adjust saturation a bit more.

@Himself: No sharpening applied, I suspect pic #4 looks over sharpened, blame it to the reflection of the internal flash that shots directly towards the leaves.

Most of the creatures are friendly, especially pic #1.. Ahahaah joke..

Pic #4 is a bit shy, but however I'm successfully managed to get close to it.

The most shy creature is pic #5. I guess I'm a lucky guy because the dragonfly choose a landing pad exactly in my closest focus range.

@nemesis101: the distace are mostly at the closest focus range of the lens

@der einrahmer: you better believe. All pics shots with internal flash indeed Smile

Now I'm really want to buy the lens. Argh another buy Sad
Cheers
