How about we all show our best presentations of photo gear that we have?
After all, the equipment itself can be absolutely beautiful, and I've seen
some REALLY fine shots in various parts of the forum. In fact, some of
them have taken my breath away. Shocked

So come on! Put some thought into making creations of beauty out of
your equipment. Offhand, I can get a mental picture of abstracts, macros,
panoramics, etc. that might be beautiful, especially with various types of
lighting. Whether it be a camera, a lens, a kit, accessories, or whatever,
I think that we could possibly see some really fine images from our
amazing talent pool.

A GREAT rainy day project. Cool

You can see a couple of beautiful images of equipment here from
lahnet and nesster:

Nesster, BOTH shots are classically beautiful! I love the colors you were
able to put into the lens on the KX, and the placement of the camera in
your second composition. Really fine, and THANK YOU for showing this
elegance.!

Rawhead! Image #2 and #4 are both simply gorgeous. I love the
telephoto effect of #2, it really makes the camera jump out of the
scene. #4 has wonderful muted charcoal colors, almost black and
white. The effect is one of elegance and purity of tone.

Magnificent!

edit: OH...love the Speed Graphic!

Nothing too fancy, but some different styles I've experimented with:

“Brand name in lens” (lens cap placed behind rear element):

“Vintage colours”:

“Long exposure light painting”:

Jussi's Pentax is very appealing to me, soft light and great choice of environment for a technology product! Overall very nice stuff, this topic is very bad for me and my keyboard (drool is hard to clean) Laughing

Here's my contribution with a photoset of equipment in use http://forum.mflenses.com/lens-nudity-my-equipment-gallery-product-shoot-trial-t23395.html and personal favorites from that set are as follows

What an excellent idea, Larry.
I LOVE gear shots.

This thread will be a reason to take some more photos of my stuff. Wink

Here are some of mine:

I gave this cam as a birthday present to my dad. It's as old as he is. Wink

Three weeks ago I found a) the Macro-Takumar 50/4 b) a set of Spiratone TLR close up lenses at the camera sho. So naturally I took a photo of the latter with the former. Yashica TL Electro-X (to keep it in the family), Fomapan 400, D-76 straight for 8 min.

The Spiratones sure look cool, but the Yashica #2 is both stronger and better optically than the Spiratone #2. Not that the Spiratone is poor.

Man-o-man, some excellent photos of some really primo gear!

The first two shots are from my archives, taken in 1986 and 1989 respectively. For both photos I used a Canon F-1 and a Canon FD 50mm f/3.5 macro lens. The last shot was taken lats year using a Canon F-1 and an FD 85mm f/1.2 SSC Aspherical at f/1.2. All slides duplicated with my slide dupe rig.

Clever, funny and well done. I like the pear sticks all reaching in the same direction.
