I thought about it too.. Maybe a 85mm or a 135mm.

I'll search on ebay for them.

Anyway, that lens is Minolta made. 80-200/4 is Leica's own design, this one is better but so is the price. Crying or Very sad
Is this a really good lens?

I need a zoom lens. I saw this one and I'd like to know if this is a good lens to use in fashion photography.

I saw on USA ebay for 1500$ but I saw an auction in UK ebay for 250 ( 4 days left)
Perhaps I can say something about the quality after a week or so. I just a few hours ago bought one "

“Sehr guter Zustand, fast wie neu.” at Evilbay. The price was 75€(!).

Minolta was a reputable maker, not quite the snob value of Leitz, but apparently progress in design made the f\4 version better. It has a fairly short minimum focus distance, but is a bit bulky. The Zeiss vario Sonnar is more compact and also quite good.

However, your intended use should be your most important consideration. The C\Y mount 85 is very sharp, contrasty &compact ("50mm size") and can easily fit in a jacket pocket while the 200f4 tele Tessar can complement it and fit in a larger pocket while perhaps not costing the earth.

I must admit that in spite of having both of those, and regard them highly, today I brought a zoom with me for a forest walk.
