I had just had that lens infinity-converted to c-mount based on my design (it is not the Arri version, but a rather small one), so here some first results using it (it was very windy, so there is some shake visible) mostly shot open:

a true apochromatic gem of a lens (no LCA at all visible) which just loves colors and especially reds ... amazing.

Quite sharp indeed and deep reds... I really like this one, a winner IMHO:

I keep coming back to this thread... The lens shows a remarkable background separation! Very 3D which reminds me of my VL125. The colors are so deep...

Yes, indeed I noticed the similarities too! It is also a fast lens and sharp already open, so that adds to that ability.

Some (more) examples ... can't really get enough of those colors + contrast + sharpness = acuity! No wonder filmmakers get gaga about Kinoptik lenses ...

I'm really speechless... I thought this could not be done on m4/3 (I mean I have never seen the "3D pop" on m4/3) so this Kinoptik is surely special. But first and foremost it is of course also the vision of the photographer Smile

Well, it was a magical moment between me, my GH1, that wonderful Kinoptik and the park I was in, so maybe that was it.... Wink Wink

Here more from that "separation monster"

what I find also amazing is the absolute lack of CA, which may be seen in the high contrasty black / white transitions here:

Yes, but with an unknown mount which needed a custom adaptor machined...

Absolutly amazing pictures made with this lens Shocked ..
The colours are so "real", amazing "3D" effect, it's also the best shoot I've seen with a micro 4/3 cam! It seems than the Angenieux are far away to have the same IQ of this Kinoptic lens....Just for info, on the picture of your lens, It seems to be a f/1,9 lens and on the title of your topic it's f2,2 Question .....

I have a few Angenieux lenses too but these don't come even close to Kinoptik. It is a T2.2 lens and f1.9 that is correct (movie makers think in T values as it also reflects internal glass/coating losses, so all lenses can be compared much easier)

Thanks, I didn't know Embarassed ....
I saw also on the Net some Kinoptic lenses (2/50 and 2/75mm if I good remember!) who were adapted and used on Canon or Nikon cam, is this lens also could be converted???
