Very intense gaze in #1, although it looks a bit "cold" (was she angry?)
Anyway I like it.

I prefer #2 because it's a far stronger composition, very cinematographic. Love the muted colors btw

As I said on "our" forum I really like both portraits.

The DOF is great and I think this lens should be a must have!

Very nice shots, Rodrigo. I prefer #2. I would have opened a little more the DOF to get both eyes focused on the first one,, (but this is a matter of one's choice).
I'm not good a friend of the Jupiter-9, it not seem to be the case with you Smile

I prefer the 2nd too. Rolling Eyes
About the DOF, it couldn't be bigger because it would make me set a longer exposure, and the photo would be shaken. I even had to use ISO 400 so that I didn't shake while the train was moving.

Thank you Wink

Uhh your killing me here! I'm going to become destitute because of this group. Laughing The Jupiter 9 has been at the top of my list for a long while now. I've been looking for a very particular one though. Your pictures are incredible. Framing and colors are fantastic. I agree with the cinematic quality of #2.

Which is that particular one?

Thank you for all your words.

m39, chrome, kmz factory label, roman characters (instead of Cyrillic), serial starting with 0, 00, or 000 (I can't say if I've even seen these so they may not exist or they may be extremely rare - pre '64 otherwise).

I found the best way to limit myself is to just not accept anything but the exact lens I'm looking for. I got really lucky with my mir: http://flickr.com/photos/10403737@N03/2173078233/
