Well... a strange expense, but something I wanted to do for a long time, and now that I am taking the B&W course, it finally makes sense.
The enlarger is a Durst M605.
It can print negatives 24x36 (35mm), 4,5x6 (Pentax, Contax etc.) and 6x6.
You can basculate to correct architecture falling lines, and you can direct light on the wall to print posters.
It came with a Rodenstock Rodagon 2.8/50 new type (I have already the old type).
To this I added a Schneider-Kreuznach Componon 4/80 for better printing the 6x6 format.
Here's the stuff:
I will go and pick it up personally on Saturday.
My choice has fallen on a B&W head instead of a colour one, because, although more difficult to handle (it's more difficult to avoid scratches and dust), it will render better contrast and will respect more the image quality of the negative.
Since I spent a lot of money on great lenses, it would be stupid to waste that quality on the diffused light of a colour head, especailly since I have no intention to ever print in colour (too difficult! better leave it to print shops)
I have got two of the best enlarging lenses available (outside of Leica's...)
My choice has fallen on German lenses, instead of Japanese, since I prefer the German lenses, I thought that I probably would also prefer German lens enlarger... maybe wrong, I don't know! But I think Rodenstock and Schneider-Kreuznach are two names with whom I just can't go wrong.
The seller promised me to give me some free paper and films and accessories... let's see. _________________ Orio, Administrator

These things come really cheap today compared to their original market value.
I got the whole set of enlarger, Rodagon 2.8/50 and accessories (except the Componon lens) for less than 300 Euros. And with the promise of free bonuses.
The Schneider-Kreuznach Componon 80mm costed 140 Euros - and it was a "luxury" (I could have done also without it). _________________ Orio, Administrator

Yeah, Andy told me about how good his Nikkors.
Well, not being able to test any of these, I went for the Schneider, based on my experience with German lenses. But the good thing is, enlarger lenses are usually affordable. So it will not cost me a fortune if later I decided to switch to Nikkors _________________ Orio, Administrator

Thanks!
I gave up the bigger model (the one that could print 6x9 format)
I have an Agfa Record 6x9 folder, but I don't really plan to photograph that large. 6x6 and 4.5x6 are both formats that I love and they are plenty resolution for me.
One day I will buy a Contax 645 or a Hassy 6x6, for now the Super Ikonta and the Pentacon 6 will do.
The bigger enlarger was more than the double weight (and this one isn't lightweight: more than 17 kilos!)
I mean I want to set up a small home darkroom not a Houston NASA test chamber! _________________ Orio, Administrator

Well done, Orio.
Nice piece of equipment. Schneider and Rodenstock are indeed fine enlarger lenses, I own the 2,8 50 Componon-S and Rodagon 80 4 and I'm happy with them. The printing learning curve will be steep in the beginning but it's entirely worth the effort and very rewarding too.
Good luck and have fun.
