Yes, exactly. The advantage is that you can take them on and off with a lens hood fitted, since your fingers don't need to squeeze around the sides.

Order of preference
- Nikon
- nothing
- Canon
string entirely optional, I prefer without in fact. _________________ Camera (ˈkæ mə rə), n. Device for taking pictures in bright light

Alex, I had a good idea (I think)
Why don't you produce lens hoods with 66mm diameter?
All Helios-40 (aluminium) owners would surely buy one. That lens is in desperate need of a lens hood, and so far people like me had to build one in cardboard. A metal one, of the appropriate lenght, and even better if coupled with a cap that fits the hood, would be godsend.

i think it will be an even better idea to send me an Helios-40 ... lol
66mm diameter hood can be made. Does it has to be in silver/metal color?
Any design preferences ... how long does the hood needs to be ... i can do custom hoods. _________________ No longer member , please don't try to contact to him |

Maybe guys who care about aesthetical value would prefer a silver hood.
It can also make more sense from a collectionerìs point of view.
As a photograper I think I would prefer a matte black adapter because it would help to control the bouncing light.

I will take the measures for you when I have some time (currently I am overworked)
And of course I will order a couple of these hoods. _________________ Orio, Administrator
