this is your "new" lens (sorry, quick fast screen grab):

and this is how it performed in my "goodbye shot" on the 5DMkII:

Carsten

Enjoy it - it is a really magnificent lens as shown by Orio's sample. I love my 20/4 nikkor for very similar qualities, and I know Chris Lillie has one too.

Shocked WOW!

I was expecting a good lens, but this is amazing!!
I love the look of the pre-AI Nikkors and even the better if it performs so well!

Thanks a lot!

P.S.: Is that the view from your window? That's beautiful!

Yes, this is a top class lens.
I already said it it performs great, and it was a good buy, but nobody believed me, except you Rolling Eyes Smile
Unfortunately (but luckily for you) I can not keep all the good lenses that I have, I need to sell some.
Since I have the Flek 4/20 (which however is not as sharp as the Nikkor), and the 2.8/20 too, and one day I will buy a Distagon 21 I am sure,
this was an unavoidable sacrifice...

Yes that is what I see from the tower looking West.
Well beautiful is perhaps too much Smile but I like it, maybe because of the habitude. I lived in this house from 1975 to 1998.
Before, I and my family used to be in the second floor of the (now) pink house that you see in the photo.
We were there for rent for some years (from early 70s until 1975), while my father was building my current house.

I think "beautiful" is the right term for me.
The green hills in the background match the different levels of the colourful buildings.
Of course, these backgardens would not be depicted in a modern living magazine, but they have a special charm, something that tells me "Yes, people are really living there". I like that.
